Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide directly and some information automatically through your use of the Service.

Account information

• Email address and password (stored securely; passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text)
• Name and phone number (optional, provided at your discretion)
• Profile picture (optional)

Event-related information

• The date you register for an event
• Your role at an event (e.g., attendee, Speaker)

Role-specific information (Speakers and similar roles)

• Company logo
• Slide decks
• Other materials submitted for your role at an event

Authentication data

• If you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive basic profile information from Google (such as your name and email) to create and log you into your account

Cookies and local storage

• We use cookies and/or local storage to keep you logged in and maintain your session while using the Service

We do not currently collect automatic technical data such as IP address, browser type, or device information beyond what's needed for basic authentication and session handling.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Let you register for and participate in events
• Display Speaker information (company logo, slide decks, name) to attendees of the specific event they're speaking at
• Maintain your login session
• Communicate with you about your account or events (via email, sent through Supabase)

Your data is stored using Supabase, with our primary database hosted in Canada (ca-central-1 region). Supabase also handles our outbound email delivery (e.g., account and event notifications).

We share information in the following limited circumstances:

• Google — if you use Google OAuth to sign in, Google acts as an authentication provider
• Supabase — our database and email service provider, which stores and processes your data on our behalf
• Event attendees — if you register as a Speaker (or similar role) for an event, your name, company logo, and slide deck may be visible to attendees of that specific event, including people who are not logged in (unauthenticated users)

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or third-party marketers.

• Basic account information (name, phone number, email) is retained until you delete your account, or until an admin removes it on your behalf.
• Role-specific information (e.g., Speaker materials like slide decks and company logos) is typically wiped after the associated event or role period ends.

You have control over your information. Through the Service, you can currently:

• View your account information
• Edit your profile and account details
• Delete your account

You also have the right to request:

• Access to the personal information we hold about you
• Correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion of your information, beyond what's available through in-app tools

The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at outreach@ubhealthyproject.org so we can address it.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including secure password storage and access controls. However, no method of storing or transmitting data online is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Service grows. If we make changes, we'll update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
